Gracegardner5757′s Blog

SO I was confused about what a free blog was… and I guess it ment I had to post something, so here I go! trying to make up for my stupidity!!!

So being that this is a free blog,  I am going to talk about food, and the, acording to me, “strange behavior of people with food”.

I have met a lot of people thoughout my life, famous people, writers, and so on and so forth, but not one of them has hated food.  Though I’ve never met anyone who hates it, there are a few people in my life that are sort of weird about it.

Throughout my life I’ve always been one of those girls that eats what she wants, whenever I want, and I burn it off as fast as I want.  As weird as it may sound,  there have been some people who stopped being my friend because of it.

It’s always been weird to me how people act about food.  When girls go out on dates they eat small bites, and order small meals, but when they get home and eat that’s a different story… Unless they are on a diet or something.  There were two full grown men, who were not homeless might I add, that were fighting over a sandwitch in a park…..  I had a little kid take my chips from me and run, that I didn’t even know!  Oh an then you have the cal. counters like my sister who won’t eat chocolate because it’ll make them fat… My sister is so weird that she even put one of my dogs on a diet while I was on a trip, he looked half dead by the time I got back!

Why is it that people act so weird, strange, or stupid around food I don’t know, but to all the normal eaters who read this, thank god there are some of you out their.

{April 30, 2009}   A mystery of words.

I have always wondered if I’m the only one in this world that believes that words say more than what they mean.  Really, you can say dozens of things through just one sentence, phrase, or ever a quote.  One statement can mean a certain thing in the context of one conversation, and something completely different in another.

It’s always confused me how different things can be precived depending on tones, context, and in writing, even fonts.  Though this has always been a mystery to me,  I have found myself studying different ways of saying thing, many times.

The most amusing thing, for me, is how something without words at all can say so much more than just a sentence.  Just like the saying “For every picture there’s a thousand words”, or atleast that’s how I think it goes, whoever said that is unknown to me.  Even though I can rarely find a thousand words hiden in a picture,  it is sure that more is expressed than could be by anything else.

Well I figure that I am just rambling,  I just thought it’d be nice to randomly write about something random.  Thanks for reading my ramble, After all, I wouldn’t even want to read it.

{April 7, 2009}   blog

Our new project is most likely going to be the most unique one I have ever done.  This is the first time, sense I’ve been at Red Rocks, that a professor has encouraged the extentsion of a privious draft for the final.  At first when Courtney told us about this project, I thought she was kidding.  But obviously she wasn’t.   It may not seem it, being my less perky behavior, but it seems like fun.  It seems as i it’ll be much more simple than the norm.

I guess sometimes professors give you projects to get you out of a bubble, in this case, the bubble to style.  There are hundreds of ways to write a good papers, but most of us stick to one way because it’s what we normally do and more commonly because it’s what we are good at!  In my opinion, that is what this who things about!

Also I think that this project is intended to be fun, and exciting! The readers should be able to read it and say “They enjoyed writing this paper.” That is what I believe our professor is looking for!

That’s all I got for today, I think I made 200 words, sweet! It’ll be fun.
