Over the past few years, I have lost time to just sit and listen to music, so when I was given this assignment, I didn’t really know what to do it on, or in other words, which song to pick. The thing is that as a 15 year old college student, you don’t really have time to listen to music and understand it, if you want to keep your social life a good grades that its. So I’m going to try to wing with, but if it doesn’t go well, I’m sorry.
Somehow, throughout my few years of life, I have come to know people who have been able to create amazing music! Jack’s Mannequin is one such band that creates songs that have deep and strong meaning, but it seems that all of their listeners get something different out of each song.
Their song At Full Speed has to be my favorite of piece of music that they have ever written. This song, is the most meaningful song to me, and I always seem to come back to it when I’m sad or wondering what the right thing to do in difficult situations is.
It tells me the truth about lies, and that everyone works harder to hide what they have done or said in some way. This song has very calming and well composed. My favorite statement that this song says is “The darker the secret the harder you keep it But it’s no victory Always running away like I do”.
I guess I think that it’s just a wonderful piece of music, and the only one I can think of that has strong meaning. But just because I love it doesn’t mean anyone else will, so you don’t have to listen to it, but I recommend it.
